Solaris by Manuel Schmalstieg

Solaris is an exercise of dynamic camera motion in GoogleStreetview, on a highway in the Chūō area of Central Tokyo. Inspired by a sequence of the motion picture Solaris (Tarkovsky 1972). All frames were captured in Google Streetview. This work is part of the project Low-Rez Stories. See more;

LOW-REZ STORIES is a project by Manuel Schmalstieg, is a semi-narrative video installation based on the use of remote webcam feeds which are tracked by spider-bots, captured and combined into a self-generating cinematic video landscape.
