Barcelona Cell

Barcelona Cell is a Seminar Project of Christina Villa and Victor Ramos, and Jonh Zissovici as Instructor. They was interested in the transformation and deformation of the Barcelona Eixample, and how sequencing the blocks as a mass might suggest certain formal architectural manifestations. The intention of the class was to explore contemporary cities as cinematic pieces to contribute to the SURFACECITIES project. See video;

SURFACECITIES is a research and teaching initiative, established to study our changing images of cities in the context of a new visual culture developing around information technologies.
