Great! I would like this chair for all my friends, it would be nice doing a "Universal Travelers" concentration hehe... The creator of this fantastic invention is Michael Candy, a 20 year old kinetic artist, studying Fine Arts and Industrial Design at QUT Brisbane.
"My art draws away from a stereotypical ‘kinetic aesthetic’ and approaches kinetics and mechanics in a more organic way; using shapes and patterns found in nature.
From a very young age I have always had the ambition to understand how everything worked. As I grew older I developed an obsession with robotics and animatronics, but struggled to find a realm in which I could freely create (without a commercial or industrial purpose). I later found art and my passion was opened to a whole new world of freedom and possibilities." See video;

"Mi arte se aleja de un estereotipo "estética cinética" y enfoca la cinética y la mecánica de una manera más orgánica, encontrando formas y patrones en la naturaleza.
Desde muy joven siempre he tenido la ambición de querer saber cómo funcionaba todo. A medida que crecía, cada vez estaba más obsesionado con la robótica y la animatrónica, pero tuve problemas para encontrar un ámbito en el que pudiese crear libremente (sin finalidad comercial o industrial). Más tarde descubrí el arte y mi pasión se abrió a más libre y lleno de posibilidades."
