Jason Gowans made a beautiful series called "Five Landscape Modes" which shows sculpture based collages through physical objects which Jason built using found negatives, his photographs, and found images from the Internet. Then he photographed them to create several angles, exposures and shadows to finally exhibit them as large prints. See more;
