Beyond Functionality

"Beyond Functionality" realizado por la diseñadora industrial Hila Shilon (Israel). Ha diseñado tres modelos de silla que centran su atención en zonas que normalmente pasan inadvertidas en los objetos cotidianos. Su propósito es poner a prueba los límites entre el orden y el caos, función y estética, común y lo extraño. El principal elemento ha sido los tornillos de gran longitud que van enroscados en la madera uniendo ambas partes. Ver más dentro del post;

'Beyond Function' by israeli product designer Hila Shilon are a series of chair Designs that aim to put focus on the normally unnoticed parts of everyday objects. Using a screw thread as her main design instrument, the project consists of three chairs, each in a different stage. It's purpose was to test the boundaries between order and chaos, function and aesthetics, the predicted and the strange. In the third stage, the screw thread becomes the chair and the wood is the one that connects them all together. (Found and text at designboom)
