Charlie O'Geen arcquitecto con sede en Detroit hace "flotar" su casa sobre el suelo, un proyecto interesante.
"Decidí hacer una "casa flotante", dejando la misma altura pero excavando el suelo hacia abajo reemplazando la base. Se contó con el apoyo de bloques de hormigón de CMU. Habia juntas agrietadas, las vigas en la parte superior estaban empenzando a inclinarse. Pero me encontré con todo esto cuando empecé a desarmar. - Charlie O'Geen. Detroit architect Charlie O’Geen made his house float above the ground.
"I decided to make it a “floating house” by leaving it the same height but excavating down to replace the foundation. It was supported on CMU cinderblock and the joints had cracked and failed; the girders on top of them were starting to lean.
