Shapes From An End

Alex Graf estudió Mediadesign en Burg Giebichenstein, Alemania. Trabajó de cámara, editor de vídeo, VJ y diseñador de animación. En todas sus trabajos busca la mezcla perfecta entre diversos medios con una visión dramática, estética y originaria.
Con "Means From An End" Terre Thaemlitz ha creado una obra maestra reflejando tristeza con fragmentos melódicos y combinando estos con grabaciones médico-técnicas creando una atmósfera emocional y precisa. En esta pieza denominada "Shapes From An End" Alex ha incorporado un tipo de geometría (en la forma, luz, simetría, haciendo referencia a diversos símbolos religiosos) que significa la transformación de la música dentro de un lento cambio dramático.

Este vídeo es un experimento para crear activos para la proyección y el taller en el NODE10. Ha sido creado con vvvv y Meso. Ver vídeo dentro del post;

Alex Graf studied Mediadesign at Burg Giebichenstein in Germany. He worked as cameraman, film editor, VJ, interaction and motion designer. In all of his works he is looking for the perfect mix of media, in a dramaturgical, aesthetical and originative way.

Alex realized this audiovisual piece called "Shapes From An End" using vvvv and Meso.

With "Means From An End" Terre Thaemlitz created a masterpiece of musical documentation. The mixture of sad melodic snippets and medical-technical recordings creates an emotional and accurate atmosphere describing the close connection between human and technique. With the sound-reactive visuals he wanted to add a 3rd element without destroying the atmosphere. Alex created a kind of geometry (shape, light, symmetry reference to religious symbols) which is transforming close to the music and a slow changing dramaturgical "plot" to find a mix of media where the attention of the audience is commute between the music and the visuals.

This video is an experiment to create assets for a screening and workshop at the NODE10.
