PBS Arts continues its new interactive series, Off Book, with a short film that shows how the F.A.T. Lab collective blurs the lines between Internet Developers, Artists and Pranksters; riffing on pop culture while working both in physical spaces and online.
The Free Art & Technology, or "(F.A.T.) Lab", is an international group of artists, hackers, thinkers, designers, developers, and entrepreneurs. They explore the ownership of digital media and information, as well as the relationship between corporations, governments, and individuals online. Their work leverages the power of pop culture in both the digital and physical worlds to challenge people and institutions to think a little deeper about this new digitally-dependent world in which we all live. Enjoy the Internet using all their great experiments for, fffff.at!
