Katsuhiro Saiki (Tokyo, 1969) lives and works in New York. He is a japanese artist and photographer who makes interesting minimalist works combining sculpture and photography.

Repetition: Polaroid photographs of the sky are arranged on a grid. Each Polaroid has electric wire in its image.

Study for Metropolis

Pequeñas esculturas compuestas por fotografías de edificios modernos de Nueva York. Las fotografías de un mismo edificio se han tomado desde varios puntos de vista y se han cortado siguiendo la forma de la perspectiva. Luego los trozos cortados están conectados con otros de manera que las estructuras tridimensionales se crean utilizando la forma tal cual aparece en las fotografías.

Small sculptures composed of photographs of modern buildings in New York. Photographs of a building are taken from several viewpoints and cut along the shape of perspective. Then the cut pieces are connected to other pieces so that three dimensional structures are created using the shape as it appeared in the photographs.
